Born in South Africa and of Portuguese decent, Shaun began his musical training at an early age studying Saxophone briefly then guitar. At thirteen he came to England and it was then he realised that playing the bass was his vocation and went on to play with numerous local bands. Up until this point having self learnt the instrument along with help from friends and various books, he made the decision to pursue music indefinitely. He went on to study at The Academy of Contemporary Music, graduating with an HND in Contemporary Music Performance. Shaun then spent the next ten years building up hundreds of hours gig experience playing seasons in the Alps, performing on the pub circuit and at weddings and corporate events with Junior Guevarra.
A big highlight of Shaun’s musical career was touring with The Hugh Lloyd Langton Group playing venues such as The O2, Shepherds Bush as well as Reading and Leeds Festival.
Shaun has been a dedicated member of Junior Guevarra for the last 11 years and remains to be a crucial element of the band.
